Heidi Lalor – Director

Heidi was born in Trinidad and Tobago and has worked within the horse industry since 2001. Heidi has over 12 years of teaching experience from 2001at Goodwin Heights stables, Trinidad and later at the Kingston Polo Club, Jamaica 2005-2009. Heidi achieved her FEI Level 1 coaching certification (Jamaica) along with observing FEI level 2 coaching (Cayman Islands). Heidi was a former vice president (2016) and board member (2014) of the Equestrian Federation of Jamaica and is the current president (2021),

Over the past ten years Heidi has enjoyed the challenges of developing a viable riding club from one retired polo pony to an active program offering a variety of equestrian disciplines, showing, horsemanship clinics and horse leasing. Heidi’s passion is promoting riding programs to benefit riders and horses of all ages and abilities for success.

Guy Moore – Visiting UK Pony Club Instructor

Guy is an accredited British Horse Society AI and a UKCC Level 2 Coach who works as a freelance instructor in Oxford, England and the surrounding areas teaching both adults and children. He is also a listed Pony Club Visiting Coach.

Guy has ridden all his life and was a member of Whaddon Chase Branch of the Pony Club from the age of five. Here he participated in rallies, attended annual camps and then as a teenager represented his Branch on various teams at Area and National level. He loved his time as a Pony Club member and was encouraged to start coaching.

Guy still likes to compete regularly in the UK, mainly Eventing and Dressage and since 2013 he has enjoyed escaping the English winters to coach at Caymanas Pony Club.

Lauren

Lauren Kilgallon – Pony Club instructor

I hold my UKCC Level 2, BHS AI and BHS Stage 4 care. I have ridden all my life and was a member of North Staffs Pony Club when I was younger, additionally I have competed in show jumping and dressage.

Most recently I have enjoyed working as part of the team at Abbots Bromley Equestrian Centre which is approved BHS riding school and approved Pony Club Centre and part of an international boarding and day school set in Staffordshire were I teach private and group lessons, pony club and progressive riding tests. I fully enjoy teaching and seeing riders progress and gain confidence within their riding and achieve their goals. I have coached in Jamaica at Caymanas Pony Club since 2017.

Samantha

Samantha Albert – Visiting Clinician

Samantha Albert is currently based in Newbury, Berkshire, UK. Sam represented Jamaica at the Pan Am Games in 1991 and 2007, she also competed in the World Equestrian Games in 1994, 1998 and 2006. Sam was the first Equestrain to compete for Jamaica at the Olympics in Beijing in 2008 and London 2012. Sam recently retired from competing and is focusing on coaching and training students which has allowed her to visit Jamaica on a regular basis and conduct jumping clinics. Samantha is in the horse sales business and capable of sourcing suitable trained horses and ponies for riders who might be looking for their next equine investment.
